The Groves Lincoln Park neighborhood association organizes several annual events and projects to give neighbors an opportunity to gather and engage in activities. The main events organized in collaboration with educational institutions are Halloween parties and Neighborhood Night Out events, as well as projects such as community art and Eagle Scout projects.
Groves Lincoln Park is a car-dependent neighborhood if you must go shopping and run errands. However, residents may take advantage of the park and many green areas that surround Groves Lincoln Park.
The “Abraham Lincoln Regional Park” entrance is off East Escalante Road. This park is home to the Atturbury Bird & Animal Sanctuary, offering 55 acres of natural trails, with desert plant life harboring a wide variety of birds and other critters. Picnic tables are also available in the park and there is also a playground for kids. Sports enthusiasts on the other hand, may take advantage of the Clements Regional Recreation Center, equipped with an aerobics room, covered basketball court and swimming pool
The Fred Enke Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation length golf course located just off East Irvington Road. It offers a hilly terrain with strategically placed bunkers and sand traps. Golf carts are available to cross the hilly terrains.
Parents of school age children can take advantage of the proximity of Santa Rita High School; whereas college students can live in the vicinity of the Pima College East Campus.
Today, Groves Lincoln Park is occupied by 5,608 residents which make up one percent of Tucson’s total population.
