Flores Villas Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The neighborhood of Flores Villas is in the 85705 ZIP code in Tucson. The neighborhood has a unique ranch feel to it since the center homes have gates, and the end homes are open to the border streets. Situated near the I-10, this neighborhood is located near commercial and industrial areas, smoothing the transition for the nearby residential neighborhoods.
The back of the neighborhood homes forms the northern border as it traces the property fence, meeting the eastern line of North Davis Avenue. West Diamond Street is the southern boundary as it travels to connect with North Shannon Road, the western edge that closes in the neighborhood.
To the north is the Tucson National Golf Course. Host to many PGA Tour events, this 7,262-yard course is beautifully manicured and the home to eight lakes. The Oracle Ridge Shopping Plaza is to the east and is the home of the local David’s Bridal, Toys ’R’ Us, and Pier 1 Imports. The Silverbell Golf Course is a 6,936-yard course. Designed by Arthur Jack Snyder and Kenneth M. Kavanaugh, it opened in 2005 and is south of the neighborhood.
The Flores Villas Neighborhood has a three-part design that gives space and privacy to the manufactured homes by the use of centralized common areas. The homes in the center and on the eastern side of the neighborhood take advantage of a single entryway and a general courtyard for parking. This allows each of the residents access to more space than other designs would.
Most of the homes have low-maintenance desert landscaping, while a few opt for the interactive lawn care that comes with desert living. The neighborhood has no sidewalks. Instead, dusty shoulders keep pedestrians dodging the parked cars. Tucson is a bicycle-friendly city, yet the bike lanes are restricted to the main roadways.
