El G.h.e.k.o. Apartments for Rent

El G.H.E.K.O is a large residential community situated to the southwest of the corner of Speedway Boulevard and Kolb Road. The neighborhood is situated in a convenient part of town with quick access to many destinations in Tucson.

Directly across Kolb Road to the east is Cornerstone Hospital. Cornerstone Hospital provides the majority of the medical care for the people in this area. However, the hospital is relatively small, so many of the more critical patients are sent to other larger hospitals in the area.

On the north side of the hospital across Rosewood Street is a large Wal-Mart Super Center. Since shopping is relatively limited in the general area, Wal-Mart is constantly packed with area residents shopping for discount goods. The closest shopping beyond Wal-Mart is several miles down the road to the west at East Gate Plaza Shopping Center and Burcham Plaza Shopping Center. Both offer limited shopping options.

Across Speedway Boulevard to the north is one of many golf courses in the region. The Dorado Country Club Golf Course is a popular golf outlet for many in the area. The country club also offers several other sports, including tennis.

By continuing west on Speedway Boulevard, families can find a bit of entertainment for their younger children. Located about a mile away from El G.H.E.K.O is Magic Carpet Golf. This small putt-putt golf course provides entertainment for area families.

Across from Magic Carpet Golf is one of the more popular destinations for family fun. Chuck E. Cheese is easily the top spot in the area for birthday parties and amusement. Animatronic characters put on a show while children play games and enjoy the ball pit.
