The Critterland neighborhood is located directly south of Tucson Mountain Park, which is established in the western region of Saguaro National Park. The community is situated west of Interstate 10 and Interstate 19. Interstate 10 travels north and south, from Phoenix through Tucson, before heading east into New Mexico. Interstate 19 veers off Interstate 10 from South Tucson, heading south into Mexico. The West Ajo Highway, also known as Highway 86, makes it easy for residents of the Critterland neighborhood to reach both Interstate 10 and 19, which are located only a few miles away.
The Saguaro National Park has hundreds of acres of beautiful desert scenery. There are miles of trails to explore, many leading to unique and intriguing picnic sites.
