Copper Crest Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Copper Crest is a neighborhood on the far west side of Tucson, Arizona, roughly 35 minutes from the heart of the downtown area. This community is just minutes from State Highway 86, bounded by West Bopp Road on the south. It is roughly bounded by South White Gold Avenue and South White Clay Loop on the west; West Copper Nugget Drive on the north; and South Spectrum Avenue, South Gold Leaf Loop, and South Jadestone Lane on the east. It is part of Pima County, in the 85735 zip code.
The homes are typical for Tucson and include southwestern and ranch styles. A small community center can be found within neighborhood bounds that offers an outdoor swimming pool and some other amenities. Some of the nearby communities include Wonderland, Critterland, Millstone Manor, and Old Tucson Ranch Estates.
Copper Crest could be considered a foothills community, offering scenic views of the nearby mountains and easy access to the many mountain parks and natural areas that flank the west side of the city. Some of these include Tucson Mountain Park, Ironwood Picnic Area, and Juan Santa Cruz Picnic Area. Residents frequent these areas for camping, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, and, of course, picnicking.
Younger students living in Copper Crest may attend Banks Elementary School, situated just a few minutes to the west.
This side of the city doesn’t offer a great many city conveniences, but the nearby highway does offer a few shopping and dining options. For more to see and do, residents travel east toward the downtown area. Many restaurants, shopping centers, medical centers, parks, and golf courses can be found along the way, as well as in the downtown area itself.
