Catalina Village Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Catalina Village neighborhood of Tucson sits between the city and the Santa Catalina Mountains. In the 85704 ZIP code, the community is about 10 miles south of the town of Catalina. The neighborhood is situated on the rippling desert landscape, before the high ridges and deep canyons of the foothills.
This neighborhood follows the south side of Oracle Crossing and the backside of West Suffolk Drive but excludes the medical plaza along the border to the north. The eastern boundary is North Village Avenue. The southern line follows West Ina Road as it connects to North Oracle Road and completes the western side of the neighborhood.
The Catalina Village neighborhood is a hub for fun and exciting activities. The Conquistador Golf Course and the Oro Valley Country Club are to the north, and shopping is available at the La Encantada plaza to the east. The Quail Canyon Golf Course is to the south. Residents can relax at the Tohono Chul Park to the west.
The half-acre-plus lots of the neighborhood make the large homes appear closer together than their roomier counterparts to the north. Developed during the mid-1960s to the early 1970s, neighborhood homes have a variety of architectural styles, including ranch, territorial, Santa Fe, and Spanish. Styles are mixed to keep the appearance unique.
The rolling streets that crisscross the Catalina Village neighborhood discourage through traffic. There are no sidewalks or bike lanes, which forces pedestrians and cyclists to share the road with vehicles. In addition, the high mesquite trees and sagebrush can create blind spots around the bends.
