Brockhuis Apartments for Rent
The Brockhuis neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, in the 85749 zip code, is settled on the northeast edge of the city before the Santa Catalina Mountain range begins. The city fades away as the desert opens up to become a reminder of the wildness that once engulfed the entire valley. Cactus and sagebrush make up the majority of residents before the mountains begin to rise.
The northern boundary of the neighborhood is lost in the untamed desert that matches its width before the next home. North Soldier Road keeps the eastern line as it meets the southern border of East Tanque Verde Road. The backs of the properties along Lone Dove Road round out the west side of the Brockhuis.
Hiking and enjoying the desert scenery is popular in Tucson, but for those in this neighborhood who want a little more to do there is plenty available in the area. To the north is the Raven Golf Club at Sabino. For relaxation, the Villa Alegre Park is to the east. The Forty Niner Golf Course is south of the neighborhood and the Tucson Country Club is on the west side.
The Brockhuis neighborhood has only two homes that sit nearly adjoined. Both are unconventional in style and are just north of the pony walls at the entrance. The southern home is open to the free flowing tumbleweeds of the desert, while the northern home is inside a wall that surrounds the property.
This distant outpost of homes has a rustic feel far from the metropolitan influences, as the dusty driveway that leads in from East Tanque Verde Road is free of sidewalks. Tucson is a bicycle friendly city and there are bike lanes along the major roadways, yet pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles share the road through the neighborhood. There is no public transportation available in the area.
