Bear Canyon Overlook Apartments for Rent
Tucson, Arizona is working to preserve the natural desert for outdoor enthusiasts at the Bear Canyon Overlook. Set in the 85749 zip code, this five-acre plot of land is one of the scenic stops for hikers along Bear Canyon. The Bear Canyon Overlook, considered a picnic area, has tables along many of the crisscrossed trails that weave between the sagebrush and mesquite trees.
The area is located to the east of the deeper foothills with the boundaries of East Snyder Road to the north, and the backs of North Supai Place’s homes to the east. The southern border fades into the desert, while the western boundary lies at North Bear Canyon Road.
While Bear Canyon Overlook is both a stop along the way to the Seven Falls and a destination of its own, there is plenty to do once in the neighborhood. The Arizona National Golf Club lies to the north, and the Agua Caliente Regional Park sits to the east. For supplies, the Woodland Plaza Shopping Center sits to the south, and St. Phillips Plaza to the west hosts a farmers market.
The area is popular for hiking, yet the vast stretch of land in the Bear Canyon Overlook keeps the wildlife local. The desert plants draw out the hummingbirds, and the mild conditions of the higher elevation keep the jackrabbits hopping year round. While these creatures are accustomed to the presence of human visitors, they remain timid, so it takes a quick eye to catch sight of one.
The Sabino Canyon Administration building is a mile and a half from the Bear Canyon Overlook, and holds valuable and interesting information about both Sabino Canyon and Bear Canyon. The building also provide directions to various points of interest, and even a shuttle to get hikers to the meat of the trail.
