The annual Fiesta Grande Street Party attracts thousands of visitors each year to experience good food, shopping, and Mexican-style entertainment. The proceeds are used to fund scholarships for area students.

Pat’s Chile Dogs is a neighborhood favorite for residents and visitors alike. In the past, many teens would visit Pat’s before going down to 6th Avenue to cruise. Tucson soon passed an anti-cruising law, which forbade people passing by the same point within a three-hour period.

Parks near Barrio Hollywood include the Garden of Gethsemane Park, where visitors and residents can view a sculpture of the Last Supper and enjoy the grounds and gardens. Sentinel Peak Park is just a short drive away. Visitors and residents can enjoy spectacular mountain views or drive up for a day picnic.
