Or, head over to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium in nearby Litchfield Park. This park contains Arizona’s largest collection of exotic animals, in addition to the African Safari train ride, a skyride, an Australian boat ride, and more.

If you happen to be moving to Glendale with a pet, be sure to check out the area dog parks. Foothills Park is a bright, cheerful dog park with a shade area, water, benches, grass, and an agility course. Northern Horizon Park features a large fenced-in play area with a separate play area for small dogs, water fountains, benches, and shade trees. It is Glendale’s largest dog park. Sahuaro Ranch Park features an off-leash dog area with some agility equipment and water fountains.
