Christie Acres is a neighborhood in southern Huntsville, Alabama, within Madison County. This community consists of fewer than 20 home sites situated along a single street – Harding Way Southeast. The community is north of Baylor Drive, west of Corlett Drive, south of Lenlock Drive, and east of Tannahill Drive. U.S. Highway 231/State Highway 53 run past the neighborhood less than a mile to the west, providing easy access to the downtown area. Christie Acres is in the 35802 zip code area. The closest area community is Steelwood, situated immediately west of Christie Acres.

There are several amenities within a short drive of this neighborhood. For those who like to golf, there is the Huntsville Municipal Golf Course to the west and the Valley Hill Golf and Country Club to the southeast. The former also has an adjacent running park for those who like to stay fit or are training for a marathon.

Parks in the immediate area include Whitesburg Park and Fernbell Park. The former is adjacent to the Whitesburg Middle School. The latter offers the Fern Bell Recreation Center, a running track, football/soccer field, playground area, six tennis courts, basketball courts, and baseball/softball fields.

The Christie Acres neighborhood is convenient to several area shopping centers. Less than a mile to the north, along Airport Road, are Westbury Shopping Center and Whitesburg Plaza Shopping Center. A few miles to the south, along Memorial Parkway/Highway 53, are four additional retail centers. Clearly, residents of Christie Acres never have to travel far from home for shopping or dining.

For a convenient health care option within a short drive of home there is the Crestwood Medical Center, situated about one mile northwest of the neighborhood along Hospital Drive.
