Coliseum Willow Park is a small neighborhood just east of downtown San Antonio, Texas. Near major attractions, including The AT&T Center as well as several public parks, this neighborhood is central to local entertainment and nightlife.
To the north of Coliseum Willow Park sits the AT&T Center, formerly known as the Freeman Coliseum. This arena is home to the San Antonio Spurs, one of the NBA’s top-ranked team. In addition to the Spurs home season games, the AT&T Center also hosts concerts, WWE professional wrestling events, and the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
To the south, Coliseum Willow Park is bounded by Martin Luther King Drive, putting it inside the 78220 zip code. East Commerce Street follows parallel to the north, separating the neighborhood from the neighboring AT&T Center. Dafoste Avenue winds down the eastern side of the neighborhood following Dafoste Park. The western boundary is curved and follows Springdale Avenue, dividing Coliseum Oaks neighborhood from Coliseum Willow Park.
The Dorie Miller Recreation Center sits just to the west of the neighborhood. Near Dorie Miller Elementary School, there are also three city parks within walking distance of Coliseum Willow Park. These include Lincoln Barkmeyer Park, Second Baptist Park, and Dafoste Park. These parks have several sports fields, picnic areas, and playground equipment for kids.
The Willow Springs Golf Course is accessible, sitting just to the east of the AT&T Center. Part of the Alamo City Golf Trail, this course has hosted the Texas Open on several occasions and accommodates casual to professional groups, single players, and offers golf lessons for amateurs.
