It consists of several streets off of Crestline Drive. Boise Heights is in the 83702 zip code area, within Ada County.
The Boise Heights neighborhood spans approximately .392 square miles and has nearly 420 residents. Many of the homes here date back to pre-1940, but construction has remained fairly steady throughout the past several decades. As of 2008, the average household income in Boise Heights ($66,209) was quite a bit higher than the city average of $52,169.
This conveniently located neighborhood is close to natural surroundings, but is also just a short drive northeast of the downtown area. Among the attractions here are the capitol building, the Boise Center, and the Egyptian Theatre. Two medical centers can also be found in the downtown area: Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital and St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center. They provide easy access to quality health care options for Boise Heights residents.
Several parks also grace the heart of downtown Boise, including Julia Davis Park and Ann Morrison Park. The latter is one of the city’s largest parks. It offers a decorative fountain, playground, picnic areas, and an entertaining disc golf course. Adjacent to these two parks on the south (and within two miles southwest of Boise Heights) is Boise State University, one of the state’s most prominent public institutions of higher learning.
