Golden Glades/The Woods Neighborhood

Situated just a few miles off the coast, the neighborhood of Golden Glades/The Woods represents prime real estate in Jacksonville, Florida. Significant neighboring communities include Atlantic Highlands and Holiday Harbors.

The Craig Municipal Airport is situated roughly two miles to the west, which makes this an ideal area for frequent travelers. Residents also take peace of mind from being located close to two of the area’s most prominent medical centers. The Mayo Clinic Hospital and the Baptist Medical Center are both located a few miles to the southeast of the neighborhood.

Two golf clubs border the coast, within five miles of Golden Glades/The Woods. Selva Marina Country Club is to the northeast, and Jacksonville Beach is to the southeast. If golf isn’t your game, you might enjoy a day at the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens, a popular attraction within five miles to the northwest of the neighborhood.

Avid shoppers will enjoy being within a short drive of several area retail centers. To the southeast of Golden Glades/The Woods is Beach Haven, which offers a Michael’s, Target, and Panera Bread, among other eateries and shops. To the west are Town and Country Shopping Center and the Regency Square shopping center. The latter consists of the Regency Square Mall, Regency Plaza, and Regency Park. Between these three venues, there is bound to be something for everyone. After a long day of shopping, why not kick off your shoes and catch a good flick at the AMC Theatre? Dining options also abound in this area and include an Olive Garden, Chili’s, and T.G.I. Friday’s.

Two major college campuses can be found within a few miles southwest of Golden Glades/The Woods. These include Florida Community College-South Campus and the University of North Florida.
