The Wyndhurst community is a pedestrian-friendly community that is designed to be a throwback to the older days of neighborhoods that were truly filled with the spirit of neighbors, when people sat on front porches and talked while children played, and many of the shops and entertainment options were situated inside the community. Located off of Enterprise Drive, and encompassed by Thistle Drive, Wyndhurst Drive and Garbo Drive, this planned community features a variety of different housing, including townhomes, villas, condominiums, single-family homes, and garden homes and apartments reserved for active retirees. All residents will also have access to a YMCA that was recently built.
Residents looking for a way to spend quality time with their children in a safe, fun, and educational environment need only travel six miles away to Amazement Square. Located in Central Virginia, this children’s museum encourages learning and exploration by providing families with four levels of interdisciplinary exhibits that focus on both global and regional topics, the arts and humanities, science and health-related themes, while allowing them to expand their creativity at the same time. Some of the exhibits include a painting room, where younger children can create and play and an audio-visual display that lets older children participate in a live band and allows them to view themselves on TV.
Those looking for something special for themselves, or to give as a gift, might want to stop in at CoCo’s Diamonds and Gemstones, where they will find a wide range of unique and original pieces to suit every personality and budget. Most of the jewelry pieces are done in gold or sterling silvers, and the boutique also carries a selection of watches, designer sunglasses, and ladies’ scarves.
