In April 1865, the Civil War came to an end in a modest country home in a small Virginia village. The village, called Appomattox Court House, played an important part in US history when Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant. Today, this beautiful historic village sits on rolling green hills as Appomattox Court House National Historic Park.

Appomattox, Virginia is situated 20 miles east of Lynchburg. And for a rural town it has a lot to offer anyone looking for apartment rentals here. In addition to the historic park, Clover Hill Village is a six-acre living history village where visitors can step back in time.

Historic downtown Appomattox is filled with quaint, turn-of-the century homes and unique shops and restaurants.

James River and Holliday Lake are popular state parks for boating, fishing, camping, and more.

Those wishing to rent in a friendly, historic town in the heart of Virginia can’t go wrong with apartments in Appomattox.
