Walker Ranch is an upscale community that is located in the same area as Riverbend at Camino Real, Bluffview at Camino Real and Woodlands of Camino Real. The northern boundary of Walker Ranch is along Blanco Road and is located right near the Chabad Lubavitch. Chabad Lubavitch is a synagogue and teaching facility for the Hasidic movement of Orthodox Judaism. This particular Chabad serves all of south Texas.

The southern border of Walker Ranch sits just beyond the end of Walkers Way, and the western edge of the community is Charlisas Way and Walkers Way. The eastern boundary of the area lies just beyond the end of Charlisas Way and just west of West River Bend Drive. Much of the community is situated very near or along the golf course, a real convenience for golf lovers because of the immense respect that the Silverhorn Golf Club gets in both Texas and the golfing community at large.

The homes in this community are primarily single-family two-story residences, but there are some single-story houses as well. Homes range in size from 2,000 feet to over 3,000 feet. Some are set on large tree-filled lots, and a few are even located so that they are right in view of different fairways at Silverhorn Golf Club. Some of these properties are located in gated neighborhoods. The predominate architectural style for these homes, built for the most part in the early 2000s, is contemporary. Many homes have been upgraded because of the needs and desires of homeowners of today.

Blanco Road provides easy access to many other main thoroughfares, including Wurzbach Parkway, Northwest Military Highway and West Avenue. This makes it fast and easy to get to the center of San Antonio or to any of the great restaurants that are within a short distance of the area.
