The Towne Lake Community is situated in a gated area in which Towne Lake is right in the center. The lake is a man made lake, and there are ducks that regularly live there, giving the area a quiet and restful feeling. There isn’t much to the community except for a main road that surrounds the lake and a road that leads out of the area and provides access to the main thoroughfare which is Nacogdoches Road, the southern boundary of the community. Lake Path Drive surrounds the community from the north, east and west.

This area is also very close to the San Antonio International Airport, and easily accessible to the North East Interstate 410 Loop which makes travel into downtown San Antonio and other parts of the city, including Fort Sam Houston and Incarnate Word College, must faster. Shopping is also very convenient with North Star Mall and Terrell Plaza Shopping Center a short distance away.
