Located in the northern portion of the city of Midland, Texas, is Wallco, a neighborhood made up of single-family houses, apartments, and other dwelling options. Wallco is located west off of North Big Spring Street, and is near the Texas 250 loop to its north and Midland Airpark to its west.

Wallco falls into the 79705 area code and has varied educational choices surrounding it. Elementary schools include Milam, Crockett, and Fannin Elementary, with Milam being the closest. Middle schools are Goddard Junior High School and San Jacinto Junior High. Early College High School at Midland is close, and the others are Lee High and Midland High to the southeast.

Shopping can be found two miles to the west of the neighborhood. Nearby stores and shopping centers include Furniture Row Shopping Center, Midland Park Mall, and Imperial Shopping Center. North Midkiff Road is also home to big retailers such as Sears, Bealls, and Finish Line. Grocery stores include Albertsons across 250, Super Mercado, Terry’s Supermarket, and Sundown Market. The latter two are south of Wallco.

Recreational opportunities abound in Wallco. Christensen Stadium hosts occasional high school and college sporting events. Midland Gymnastics Center is east of Wallco, and to the north is the Aurelian Fitness Studio. North Park Cinema and Hollywood Tall City 14 are nearby, and Big Sky drive-in is six miles away.

Outdoor activities are also abundant. Golfing can be found at Hogan Park or Ranchland Hills courses. There are also vast park lands within a short distance, including Sidwell Park, Windlands Park, Tumbleweed Park, and Hogan.
