(hide neighborhood information)

The Plantation Hills neighborhood can be found in northwest Midland, Texas, about five miles from the heart of the downtown area. This large community is bounded by North Garfield Street on the east and State Highway 250 on the south. On the west, it extends roughly to Mt Vernon Court and Melville Drive, and on the north it extends past Bluebird Lane to the border of Santa Rita Park. The zip code for this Midland County community is 79705.

Plantation Hills is primarily a residential neighborhood, made up of more than 100 single-family homes. However, a few townhomes and apartment buildings can also be found here, and commercial offerings exist along the community’s northern and southern boundaries. In fact, both sides of nearby Highway 250 host a variety of popular restaurants and retailers. The northern portion of the community that abuts Santa Rita Park is host to the Santa Rita Elementary School.

A variety of attractions are situated on the north side of Midland, all of which are just minutes from Plantation Hills. The neighboring park is an option for outdoor recreation close to home, but residents of this community are also within two miles west of the city’s largest park – Hogan Park. Residents come to Hogan to tee off at the 36-hole public golf course or walk their canine companions at one of the city’s only off-leash dog parks. The park also offers multiple playing fields and is adjacent to the Ranchland Hills Country Club, a semi-private golfing option.

Additional attractions within a few minutes of Plantation Hills include the Midland Country Club, Midland Airpark, and Midland Park Mall. The latter is the largest indoor shopping complex in the city, offering five major department stores, more than 90 specialty retailers, and several eateries.
