Midland Airpark Apartments for Rent

Midland Airpark is also known as the Midland International Airport. This is a general aviation field serving private planes as well as scheduled commuter service. American Eagle, Continental Express, Southwest and United Express all offer flights from this airport. Flight instruction for private pilots is offered in conjunction with Midland College, just west of the airport. Since the airport carries the international designation there is a US Customs office on-site.

Midland Airpark is located just off the Texas 250 Loop Frontage Road, north of Midland’s downtown core. The area just east of the airport is heavily commercial, especially along W Wadley Avenue and N Big Spring Street. Some companies in this area include Simplex Engergy Solution, Kelly Services, Apache Services, and a large branch of the US Post Office. Wells Fargo and the First Capital Bank of Texas also have offices on N Big Spring Street.

West of Midland Airpark framed by W Wadley Avenue and N Garfield Street is a suburban residential area with a mix of single family homes and apartment complexes. Some of the homes date back to the 1940s, but most of the apartments were built from 1970 on. Midland’s E-Z Rider transit system provides easy access from the residential area to Midland College, the airpark and the commercial zone.

Nearby recreational areas include Tumbleweeds Park and Windlands Park, both on W Wadley Avenue. Just east of the commercial zone is Hogan Park which offers a five acre off-leash dog friendly zone. Ranchland Hills Country Club is south of Hogan Park along E Wadley Avenue. Restaurants in the area include Cattle Baron Steak & Seafood, Michael’s Charcoal Grill North and the Garlic Press. Midland Community Theatre, located on W Wadley Avenue offers productions throughout the year as well as theatre workshops.
