Hatfield Apartments for Rent
With easy access off of the Texas 250 Loop Frontage Road and an assortment of shops, restaurants and services within a block or two, Hatfield is quite the convenient neighborhood. Just east is the Midland International Airpark and business park. One block south along North Garfield Street is Midland College. Across from Midland College enjoy a night out at the Midland Community Theatre or a picnic at Tumbleweeds Park next to that same theater.
On the northern part of Midland, the Hatfield neighborhood was developed beginning in the 1970s, with most homes built prior to 1995. These early structures were mostly single-family homes with a few small apartment buildings. Later development added more apartments into the rental pool. The atmosphere is urban, artsy, and sophisticated.
Besides Midland College, Emerson Elementary School on Moss Avenue and Goddard Junior High on Haynes Avenue serve the area. South of Hatfield, near the Midland Community Theatre on West Wadley Avenue is the private Hillander School. Those seeking flying lessons may do so at the Midland College Flight School. The First Reformed Presbyterian Church is on Whitmire Boulevard at the Texas 250 Loop. The Guyse Temple, a synagogue, is two blocks away on Emerson Drive.
Most nearby restaurants such as IHop, Outback Steakhouse, and Chili’s Grill and Bar are along the Texas 250 Loop. Two exceptions are a neighborhood café called the Moon Garden and Domino’s Pizza, both within a block of the center of Hatfield. Also along the Texas 250 Loop are major retailers such as Office Depot, Barnes & Noble Booksellers and Best Buy. One mile west on the Texas 250 Loop is the Midland Park Mall, home to JC Penneys, Fuddruckers and the Manchu Wok. The E-Z Rider transit system offers service to all of these areas.
