Goddard Heights Apartments for Rent
Comfortably sandwiched between Midland College and the shopping opportunities at Midland Park Mall, Goddard Heights is one of the more established neighborhoods in Midland. Though most homes date from the 1940s to the mid 1990s, there are some that date back to the late Victorian era. Though the majority of homes in Goddard Heights are single-family structures, apartments are catching on, particularly in developments started after 1995.
Goddard Heights is a pedestrian-friendly environment and only a block from Midland College. It’s just a bit farther than that to the Midland Community Theatre and the adjacent Tumbleweed and Windlands Park. The Midland International Airpark and adjacent business park are easily accessed by the E-Z Rider transit system that has frequent service along West Wadley Avenue, North Garfield Street, and other major thoroughfares. West Wadley Avenue also leads to Hogan Park that has a five-acre off-leash dog park, and the Ranchland Hills Country Club.
Schools in the area include Emerson Elementary School on Moss Avenue, and Goddard Junior High School on Haynes Avenue. Grace Presbyterian Church on North Garfield and the Fannin Terrace Baptist Church on Mogford Street are five blocks south of Goddard Heights. Also within easy walking distance are the shops and restaurants along North Midkiff Road and the Texas 250 Loop Frontage Road, to the north of Goddard Heights. The Midland Park Mall is at the intersection of these two streets. The Garlic Press and the Subway store on West Wadley Avenue are even closer. A Natural Foods Market is also on West Wadley Avenue, only four blocks away.
