Nearby eateries include the Shogun, Jason’s Deli, Abuelo’s Mexican Food, and Chili’s Bar & Grill, all on North Garfield Street near the Texas 250 Loop. Follow Texas Loop 250 west and you will find I-Hop and Olive Garden. Also along the Texas 250 Loop are major shopping outlets such as Office Depot, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, and Bed Bath & Beyond. At the corner of North Midkiff Road and the Texas 250 Loop is the Midland Park Mall, home to JC Penney and many other shopping and dining options.

Had east on the Texas 250 Loop to North Lamesa Road and you come to the Christensen Stadium and Hogan Park. The latter offers a five-acre off-leash dog park with a public-access dog agility course. Golfers have a choice of challenging the greens at both the Midland Country Club, to the north of Garfield Place, or at the Ranchland Hills Country Club, south of Hogan Park.
