Part of Midland County and encompassing the 79705 zip code area, this community is bounded by North H Street on the west, Western Drive on the east, and West Golf Course Road on the south. The community’s northern boundary falls short of Winfield Road, and West Scharbauer Drive traverses the middle of the neighborhood from west to east.

This small community is entirely residential, consisting of one dozen single-family homes to the south of Scharbauer Drive and a half-dozen homes to the north. The homes here are well-shaded, and several feature their own swimming pools.

Residents of Driver Place are surrounded by city attractions on all sides. For outdoor recreation, the largest options in the immediate area are Tumbleweed Park and Windlands Park, adjacent to one another about a half-mile to the north. Together, these parks offer several playing fields, walking/biking trails, and playground equipment. Just north of these parks is another significant area attraction – Midland Airpark.

For health care close to home, residents of Driver Place are roughly equidistant from two of the city’s medical centers. To the southwest, along Andrews Highway, is the Midland Memorial Hospital. Roughly two miles directly west of this community, also along Andrews Highway, is the hospital’s western branch.

One of the city’s most popular retail destinations is the Midland Park Mall, situated roughly two miles northwest of Driver Place, along Highway 250. This indoor shopping complex is anchored by a Dillard’s, Beall’s, Sears, and JCPenney. It also offers at least 90 specialty shops and dining options.

Public and private golfing options within a few miles northeast of this community include Hogan Park, Ranchland Hills Country Club, and Midland Country Club.
