Arrowhead Acres Apartments for Rent
Artsy, pedestrian friendly Arrowhead Acres is a residential area just south of W Scharbauer Drive. Most of the homes, particularly the single family structures, were built during the mid-20th century. Newer properties, including some high rise apartment complexes date from the mid 1990s or later.
Public transit, provided by the E-Z Rider system, offers service along W Scharbauer Drive and North A Street as well as the shops and restaurants along W Wadley Avenue. North A Street leads directly to the Midland International Airpark and the adjacent commercial center. Businesses such as Petro Tel Communications, Simplex Energy Solution, and Wilson Supply operate out of this area. The American Legion also has a post right off of Air Park Road and there are several banks, among them First Capital of Texas and Wells Fargo.
Located one block east on W Wadley Avenue are Windlands Park, Tumbleweed Park, and the Midland Community Theatre. Midland College is across from the theatre via N Garfield Street. Eateries in this part of town include the Garlic Press, Burger King, and Venezia. Closer to Arrowhead Acres is the Silk Garden off of W Golf Course Road and several restaurants along N Big Spring Street including Sonic Drive In, Whataburger, and Gerardos Casita.
Two small public parks, Moore Park and Wadley Barron Park, which has a small lake, are within walking distance south along North A Street. The five-acre Hogan’s Run Dog Park is about four miles east off of W Wadley Avenue. The same road leads to the golf course at the Ranchland Hills Country Club.
