The sprawling community of Heritage Hills is located in the northeastern region of Austin, Texas. Heritage Hills makes up 1.759 square miles and is often referred to as the Woodbridge neighborhood. The area is bounded by Interstate Highway 35 to the west, Rundberg Lane to the north, Cameron Road to the east, and State Highway 183 to the south. The zip code for Heritage Hills is 78753.

A project is presently under way in Austin to combine the two neighborhoods of Heritage Hills and Windsor Hills, which connect at Rundberg Lane. Other connected neighborhoods include Coronado Hills, St. John’s, Highland, Georgian Acres, and North Lamar.

Due to the proximity of Heritage Hills to central Austin, the average commuting time is twenty minutes. Although Austin is the home of Dell Computers, Farmer’s Insurance, and 3M Company, employees of these major companies rarely live in this part of Austin.

Many residents send their college-aged children to the University of Texas.

Commuters in this area typically take advantage of the easy access to Interstate Highway 35. The 1.23-mile Little Walnut Creek runs through the community of Heritage Hills as well. The Heritage Hills community includes both single family homes, retirement communities, and apartments.

Local restaurants include Jack In The Box, Taqueria Arandas, Cancun Mexican Restaurant, and Mr. Catfish.

The children of the Heritage Hills community attend Austin Independent School district. K-5 students attend Bernice Hart Elementary School. Young adult students attend Dobie Middle School, and Heritage Hills teenagers attend Lanier High School.

Heritage Hills contains its own Walmart, Cato, and Payless Shoesource. The Republic of Texas Museum is right down the road from the community, as is the Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

The Heritage Hills neighborhood has its own park, the North Acres Park.
