The Two Rivers neighborhood offers residents the tranquility of rural life with the amenities of city life. With lots of open spaces and the Cumberland River to the east, it seems quite rural. Yet, there is a transit stop in the northwest corner, and one of the nation’s iconic entertainment sites is only a few miles away.

While Two Rivers is a suburban neighborhood, it is not totally car-dependent. Running along the north edge of the neighborhood is Stones River Greenway Trail, which goes for miles. The trail passes through Two Rivers Park and Golf Course, ending at Opry Mills. The trail also crosses the Cumberland via a pedestrian bridge – a great spot in itself to watch barge traffic and the paddlewheel boat General Jackson. Take the trail east to Percy Priest Reservoir. Designed to connect historic, natural and retail sites, the trail system runs throughout Nashville.

Two Rivers residents enjoy having a great public golf course within walking distance. The golf course is part of a larger park complex – Two Rivers Park, which has walking trails and a water park.

Opry Mills is a destination shopping area. Most national retailers are represented here. Bass Pro Shop is one example. There is also a 20-screen cinema complex, an IMAX and innumerable restaurants and eateries.

Near Opry Mills is the Grand Ole Opry. People come from across the nation and around the world to see their favorite performers on this famous stage. Yet for the residents of Two Rivers, it is a five-minute drive!
