Raymond Heights Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Raymond Heights neighborhood is a sleeper-type community of small bungalow-style homes that were constructed during the 50s. It is located near the Nashville International Airport as well as downtown Nashville by way of the interstate.
The community is bordered by Foster Avenue on the west, Murfreesboro Pike on the north and I-24 on the east with the interchange of I-440 and I-24 lying to the south.
The small, cozy homes in the community are situated on large lots that feature canopies of blue ash, catalpa, red maple, sourwood, black oak, and willow trees. The greenery is a draw for sparrows, cardinals, gnatcatchers, yellow warblers, and nuthatches as well as squirrels, raccoons, and chipmunks. Butterflies abound in the summer months and residents sometimes catch a glimpse of the zebra swallowtail, which is the state butterfly.
For golfers in the area, the Riverview Golf Course, which is north of the neighborhood, is in close access via I-24. Located at 1700 Sevier Street, the executive course is one of several municipal golf courses in the greater Nashville area. Green fees are reasonable at $4.00 and most holes don’t exceed 150 yards. The golf course is geared for inexperienced golfers as it doesn’t contain any bunkers or water hazards.
Residents are close to several area shopping malls as well, including the CoolSprings Galleria at 1800 Galleria Boulevard and the Mall at Green Hills, located at 2126 Abbot Martin Road. Both malls feature Macy’s and Dillard’s as anchor stores and a large variety of popular specialty shops in which to browse.
For anyone who wants an affordable, quiet and convenient location, the Raymond Heights neighborhood in Nashville is an idyllic choice.
