Prime Gulch Area!

The Porter Heights neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee, is bordered by Riverside Drive to the west, Porter Road to the north, Rosebank Avenue to the east and Eastland Avenue to the south. Briley Parkway runs adjacent to the area to the north and east.

The community, which features established, renovated homes, many of which are over 60 years old, depicts homespun, country appeal with pinewood decks that rest in the shade of canopies of oaks, maples and sycamore trees. Wildflowers, too, such as columbine, jack-in-the-pulpit, purple coneflower and joe-pye weed, color the landscape in summer and add to the rustic charm of the community.

In addition, the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center is located to the southeast and offers 12 miles of trails, giving visitors plenty of opportunity to view the scenery and wildlife. Birds indigenous to the area can be seen, such as wood ducks, thrushes, robins, catbirds, scarlet tanagers, goldfinches, and chickadees.

In proximity to interchanges I-24 and I-65, residents can also visit a number of area shopping centers. Within Nashville itself, residents like to visit the Mall at Green Hills which is located at 2126 Abbott Martin Road. The mall features anchor stores Dillard’s and Macy’s as well as other exclusive retailers, such as Brooks Brothers, Burberry, and J Crew. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m.

Given its accessible location to shopping and recreation, the Porter Heights neighborhood is just one of the many reasons people like to call the city of Nashville home.
