Mountainview Neighborhood

Mountainview is a rural, wooded community in Nashville. With beautiful green grass and shade trees, the area is dog- and wildlife-friendly. The Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge is located four miles north of the community. Wildlife often seen in this area includes raccoons, opossums, rats, squirrels, bats, snakes, and birds.

Crockett Park, three miles from Mountainview, is a large public park that offers free admission. There are several lighted tennis courts; a few playgrounds; hiking trails; ball fields for soccer, football and other sports; and picnic areas.

The nearest shopping mall, 100 Oaks Mall, is just over six miles from Mountainview. The mall features 75,000 square feet of retail shops, including PetSmart, Michael’s, GNC, and Burlington Coat Factory. There are many other apparel and specialty shops in the mall, as well as dining establishments.

The University of Tennessee is located three miles from Mountainview. Other colleges within 10 miles of the community include Belmont University, Lipscomb University, DeVry University, and Vanderbilt University.

Mountainview is very convenient to many schools and is part of the Williamson County Public School System. Edmondson Elementary School is located less than a mile from the neighborhood. William Henry Oliver Middle School is located 1.5 miles from the community, and there are two high schools within five miles.

Residents in search of entertainment don’t have to look far. There are several entertainment venues within two miles of Mountainview, including many with live music. The Nashville Zoo is five miles away.

For those who travel for business or pleasure, the Nashville International Airport is only nine miles from the neighborhood.
