Metrocenter North Rhodes Park Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
On the banks of the Cumberland River in north Nashville is the Metrocenter Boulevard/North Rhodes Park neighborhood. It is just minutes from downtown Nashville by car, with easy access to public transportation. There are many businesses located in the neighborhood that are close by, however the busy traffic in the area discourages walking. Though the business community dominates this neighborhood, there are attractive reasons for becoming a resident.
The Metrocenter Boulevard/North Rhodes Park benefits from the presence of two magnet schools located there. Those are John Early Middle School and Hull-Jackson Elementary School. John Early serves 5th through the 8th grade and is a museum magnet school with an advanced curriculum. Hull-Jackson is the state’s first Montessori public school. Parents from around the city attempt to get their children admitted through the school system’s lottery program, yet residents of the neighborhood are automatically admitted.
The Watkins College of Art, Design and Film is a fully accredited college that offers degrees in several programs. The recently renovated, high-end building is located in the Metrocenter plaza, fittingly in an old multiplex movie theater. Another institution of adult learning located in the Metrocenter plaza is the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute. It provides translation services for many state and local organizations, programs for English as a Second Language, and offers the opportunity to learn a wide variety of languages.
One attraction of interest to many in Nashville is the professional football team, the Tennessee Titans. The Titans’ practice facility is located in the Metrocenter/North Rhodes Park neighborhood.
Many federal, state and local government organizations have offices in the neighborhood from the Court system to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
