McKissack Park is a neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee. It is an older established residential neighborhood with a variety of single and multi-family homes. The streets are tree lined and have sidewalks. It is a hilly area with Clifton Avenue on the north, Felicia Street and railroad tracks on the south east, and the I-40 on the west. Centennial Park is just a short distance from McKissack Park. This historic park has seen many changes since it began as a farm in the 1700s. Occupying over 130 acres, it is the queen of Nashville parks. Today, the Parthenon, the last remnant of the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, welcomes visitors who want to enjoy a perfect full scale reproduction of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The park includes a lake, sunken garden, walking trails, and tennis complex. There are two dog parks and volleyball courts as well. The arts are alive and well in Centennial Park as well, with an art museum in the Parthenon, and a band shell in the park.

Within walking distance of the McKissack Park neighborhood is Hadley Park. This is one of the 23 city parks that have a community center. This community center has a lot to offer with after school and vacation activities for children, an indoor pool, gymnasium, indoor walking track, computer lab, game room, fitness center for adults, tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, and a ball field. It isn’t just for children; there are activities for seniors and adults as well. The Nashville Public Library has a branch adjacent to Hadley Park.
