With its quiet, tree-lined country roads and sprawling home lots, the Margo Lane neighborhood in Nashville offers residents room to roam. Many of the residences in the community are surrounded by forestland.

Margo Lane encompasses the 37211 ZIP code. The community is bounded by Harding Place on the north, Interstate 24 on the east, Haywood Lane on the south, and Nolensville Pike on the west. The area is mostly residential but contains a variety of shops and service establishments, as well as a school and a church.

One of the many appealing aspects of Margo Lane is the Nashville Zoo, which lies just outside of the neighborhood, to the northwest. There are approximately 300 animals from around the world living at the zoo, including red pandas, Bengal tigers, and African elephants. The zoo features many interesting exhibits, among them the Alligator Cove, Flamingo Lagoon, and Giraffe Savannah.

Not too far away and to the west of the neighborhood is the Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge. Featuring an 85-acre lake, the refuge attracts a wide variety of wildlife, including waterfowl. It has miles of scenic trails perfect for wildlife observation and hiking. To familiarize visitors with all the refuge has to offer, there are a variety of programs throughout the year such as nature hikes; wildflower walks; astronomy night hikes; and programs on snakes, cave ecology, and birds of prey.

For the convenience and safety of Margo Lane residents, the Southern Hills Medical Center is within the community. The hospital has an emergency room and offers a variety of specialized services such as cardiology and cancer and wound care.
