Inglewood Neighborhood

Inglewood is a community that depicts warmth and country charm, even though it is located in the heart of a metropolis. Situated on fairly big lots, many of the houses show off pine decks built in the shade of such Tennessee trees as red buckeyes, birches, oaks, maples, loblolly pines, sycamores, and flowering dogwoods. The trees, along with shrubs, such as honeysuckle, buttonbush, and winterberry plants, are inviting habitats for Tennessee birds like the cardinal, song sparrow, bluebird, wood thrush, screech owl, blue jay, and the state bird, the mockingbird.

The neighborhood is close to both the I-65 and I-24 interchanges, thereby giving residents the opportunity to visit a number of area shopping centers. One of the favorite malls is the Cool Springs Galleria in nearby Franklin, Tennessee. The popular shopping escape is home to over 160 stores, and features anchor retailers Sears, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, Dillard’s and the Belk Home Store. Shoppers at the mall like to take a break for a bite to eat at restaurants like Romano’s Macaroni Grill and the Pyramid Café.

Nashville is just a short drive away. In addition to the shops, restaurants, music, and entertainment venues of downtown, residents of an Inglewood apartment can visit the Mall at Green Hills. This mall features anchor stores such as Dillard’s and Macy’s as well as exclusive retailers such as Burberry, Brooks Brothers, and J Crew.

The nearby Shelby Bottoms Nature Center offers 12 miles of hiking trails. This is an excellent location for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Some of the birds indigenous seen at the nature center include ducks, robins, thrushes, catbirds, scarlet tanagers, goldfinches, and chickadees.

Given its close access to shopping and homespun atmosphere, the Inglewood neighborhood in Nashville is the perfect place to raise a family.
