The southern boundary road, East Trinity Lane, is also a major thoroughfare and offers residents easy access to many conveniences. They include a number of fast-food restaurants, with even more along Gallatin Pike, which intersects with East Trinity Lane. The neighborhood lies about halfway between two of Nashville’s largest retail centers, Opry Mills and The Mall of Green Hills.

Two of the state’s top recreational attractions, Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Reservoir, are less than a half-hour drive from the Keeling Avenue neighborhood. Combined, they provide Nashville residents with almost unlimited opportunities for hunting, fishing, boating, camping, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, paved trails, hiking trails, sandy beaches, and much more. Old Hickory Lake has more than 22,000 acres of water. Percy Priest Reservoir covers 14,000 acres.

With easy access via East Trinity Lane to I-24 and I-65, residents find that some of the top North Nashville sites are just a few miles west. One of these is the Ted Rhodes Golf Course. Located along the Cumberland River, the course was re-designed in 1992 and expanded to a full 18 holes.

Also just a few miles west of the community is Tennessee State University. Whether Keeling Avenue residents are students, sports fans, or both, all the activities of TSU are very convenient. Near the university are some other Nashville attractions. The Parthenon is home to the Art Museum and is situated in one of the city’s premier parks, Centennial Park. Ryman Auditorium, Music Row, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center are also nearby.
