Towards the southern tip of the city of Nashville is the neighborhood of Hounds Run. The subdivision is located about a mile east of Highway 431/Highway 106 and is situated between Percy Warner Park to the west and Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge to the east. Forest Hills can be found to the north of Hounds Run and south of Otter Creek.
In terms of shopping, Hounds Run has access to all the amenities. Kroger is about four miles away and serves the grocery needs of the community. Many of the big name retailers like Target, Dillard’s, and Home Goods can be found around the subdivision. Moore Middle School or Brentwood Middle School. Local high schools include Hillsboro Comprehensive High or Brentwood High School. Lipscomb University is the closest college to the neighborhood.

Radnor Lake State Natural Area has hiking and biking trails, opportunities for canoeing, a nature center, and even hunting in certain sections of the property. Otter Creek and Granny White are also within a mile of the neighborhood.
