Nashville has a long and diverse history. One of the city’s oldest historic attractions is Traveler’s Rest Plantation & Museum, only a 15-minute drive from Hickory View. This historic Tennessee plantation was built in 1799 and was the residence of Judge John Overton. Today, the home and gardens form a historic site open to the public for guided tours, specialty lunch tours, and self-guided tours.

Residents of Hickory View are only eight miles from the expansive outdoor recreational area of Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge.
