With a wave action pool, water spills, flumes and slides, it is extremely affordable and offers season passes. Two Rivers Mansion is nearby. Built in 1859, it is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The mansion grounds are the site of several festivals and events, and a favorite place for weddings.

A couple of larger parks are just a bit farther away, Peeler Park and Shelby Park. Both provide miles of walking, hiking and cycling paths. Peeler even has horse paths. There is a nature center at Shelby as well as a boat launch onto the Cumberland River. Access to Nashville’s ambitious Greenway Trail complex is about three miles away, on the west side of Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute campus.

With easy access to I-40, the great cultural, entertainment and educational sites of downtown Nashville are just minutes away. These include Ryman Auditorium, a National Historic Landmark. The Country Music Hall of Fame, Music Row and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center – home of theater, opera and ballet – and Vanderbilt University are all close by.
