With its close proximity to major roadways and ready access to downtown, Grandview Heights offers residents the excitement of city life. This bustling community is located minutes from a wide variety of area amenities, including the Nashville International Airport.

Grandview Heights encompasses zip code 37211. The community is bounded by Rosedale Avenue on the north, Grandview Avenue on the east, Cruzen Street on the south, and Longview Avenue and Eugenia Avenue on the west. The area is a mix of housing and a variety of commercial buildings such as shops and service establishments.

Of the many appealing aspects of Grandview Heights is Cumberland Park, which sits just over the community’s border to the north. This area park has a track field perfect for running and jogging. Not too far away to the northwest is Fort Negley Park, which is the location of a fort built during the Civil War. The park offers plenty of hiking and biking opportunities and features the Visitor’s Center, which contains exhibits displaying how the Union Army captured Nashville in 1862. It also covers how Negley, which was the largest inland masonry fort built during the Civil War, was constructed.

For those who enjoy golf, the Seven Oaks Disc Golf Course sits to the east of the community. This course runs through picturesque, wooded land. Next to the course is the 340-acre Nashville International Airport. This airport is commercial and military and served nearly 10 million passengers in 2008. It opened in 1937 as Berry Field, in honor of Harry S. Berry, the Tennessee administrator for the Works Progress Administration. During World War II, the airport was used by the U.S. Army.
