One of the great things about living in Fang, besides the name, is enjoying the rich culture that surrounds the neighborhood. Fisk University is adjacent to Fang and helps to give the area its diverse business and entertainment base.

Fang is located just outside the downtown area of Nashville. The boundaries are Herman Street to the south, 12th Avenue to the east, Jefferson Street to the north, and Dr. D. B. Todd Junior Boulevard to the west.

Pick a direction to walk through Fang and the scenery will always change. The clean sidewalks that line all the streets pass by wonderful old churches and brand new apartment buildings, with homes of all sizes and shapes in between. The neighborhood has turf fields and tennis courts in one direction with coffee shops and restaurants in another. Decorating the area in every direction are the mature trees that provide shade on hot Nashville summer afternoons.

The Bridgestone Coliseum is just a few minutes from Fang and hosts concerts, circuses, and is the home ice for the Nashville Predators.

Being near to downtown, Fang residents can explore the many places that have give Nashville its nickname; Music City. Broadway is the place to see many of the most famous of the Nashville Icons. The Ryman Auditorium is a monument to country music and, along with the Grand Ole Opry House, has been hosting the Grand Ole Opry radio show for more than 80 years. The Ernest Tubb Record Store is considered holy ground by many music fans and a tourist stop since the 1950s. Just across the street is Tootsies Orchid Lounge, where many giants of country music got started and you can still see up and coming artists honing their craft.
