The borders of this Tennessee community are Old Hickory Boulevard to the north, Edinburgh Drive on the east and south, and Worchester Drive on the west. This is a residential neighborhood of single-family, detached homes. Devonshire is located southwest of downtown Nashville, between Interstate 40 and Interstate 65.
Edwin Warner Park is half of what is locally referred to as the Warner Park. Located nine miles south of Nashville and with a total of 2,600 acres collectively, the two halves form the largest municipal park in Tennessee. More than a half a million people take advantage of Warner Park every year. Edwin Warner Park has six trails for hiking, which range in difficult from short and easy to moderately hard and two and a half miles long.
Percy Warner Park is by far the larger half of the two parks at more than 2,000 acres. It has three trails for hiking that range from one mile to four and a half miles, as well as bridle paths. Picnic shelters are scattered throughout the park, and there are also golf courses within the park’s boundaries. Percy Warner Golf Course is a nine-hole course that has some of the most scenic views in the area and has been open for more than 70 years. Over 50 years old, the Harpeth Hill Golf Course is an 18-hole course in Percy Warner Park that is recognized as one of the finest public golf courses in Tennessee. The course was resigned in the 1990s and includes a clubhouse.
Harpeth Hill Shopping Center is just a short drive from the Devonshire community. In addition to a Publix supermarket, it has a variety of shops and restaurants. A Starbucks is also in the area.
