This upscale Tennessee neighborhood is made up of new or recently constructed single-family homes that are spaced closely to one another. Homes do have some backyard space. Since the neighborhood is a new development, it lacks some of the mature vegetation that would be present in older areas. There are plenty of trees in the surrounding area, however.

Centennial Park is considered Nashville’s premier park. It is located at West End and 25th Avenue North. The park occupies 132 acres and features a replica of the ancient Greek Parthenon. It also has a one-mile walking trail, the Centennial Arts Center, an arts activity center, and a band shell where concerts take place.

There are also historical monuments throughout the park, a sunken garden, sand volleyball courts, an exercise trail that’s not to be confused with the walking trail, two dog parks, and a sunken garden. Lake Watauga is also within the park.

History buffs will enjoy a visit to Fort Negley on Fort Negley Boulevard. It is regarded as the largest group of forts that the Union built, and it is said that 2,768 people participated in the building of the fort. It is also the largest inland masonry fort that was built during the Civil War. Fort Negley is a great way for visitors to learn about Nashville’s Civil War history.
