Belle Acres Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Belle Acres is a neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee that is comprised primarily of smaller, single-family framed homes of about 30 years old. Homes are situated on lots with mature vegetation and are shaded by canopies of red buckeyes, oaks, maples, birches, witch hazels, and hackberry trees. Shrubs of juneberry, indigo bush, and sumac provide screens for backyard decks, where residents can listen to the birdsong of cardinals, sparrows, jays and chickadees, or the mimicking melodies of the mockingbird, which is the state bird of Tennessee.
The neighborhood is located east of Spence Lane, north of Lebanon Pike and west of Briley Parkway. The parkway makes it easy for residents to access I-40 to the south and the interstate system. The Shelby Bottoms Nature Center is located north of the neighborhood, and offers hiking through a trail system that winds through a forest made up of river birches, maples, flowering dogwoods, and American holly trees. Birders like the area, because they often catch glimpses of such colorful bird species as yellow-billed sapsuckers, red-headed woodpeckers, bluebirds, and scarlet tanagers.
Being close to the interstate system makes it easy for locals to visit a number of area malls as well. A popular mall in the Nashville metropolitan area is the Mall at Green Hills. The large indoor shopping complex, located at 2126 Abbott Martin Road, is home to anchor stores Macy’s and Dillard’s as well as popular retailers such as Banana Republic, Lacoste, Brooks Brothers and J. Crew. The shopping center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Located close to downtown and shopping as well as outdoor recreation, the Belle Acres neighborhood is an affordable and convenient place to live in the thriving city of Nashville.
