Oak Forest Hills Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Oak Forest Hills at first glance appears to be a typical suburban neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee. There are rows upon rows of residential homes and streets meandering throughout much of the land within this community. However, this community has one major attraction: a huge golf course which takes up nearly half to Oak Forest Hills.
The community exists within a border created by St. Elmo Road to its south, Billy Maher Road in the southwest, Blackheath Drive to the northwest, Egypt Central Road to the north, and Kirby Whitten Parkway to the east.
Altruria Road, which runs north and south through the middle of the community, is one of its most important roads. This includes the entrance to Quail Ridge Golf Course near the Daybreak Drive intersection. Quail Ridge Golf Course is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course. It has hosted several national and professional qualifying golf tournaments since its opening in 1994. It has also been the home of the Bubba Conlee National Junior Golf Tournament since 2007.
Most of the residential streets are south of Daybreak Drive. Besides having several tree-lined residential streets and cul de sacs, in the southern section of Oak Forest Hills is Bartlett Elementary School, off of St. Elmo Road and Billy Maher Road. There are two churches, Church of the Nativity and Crystal Springs Baptist Church, each on opposite ends of St. Elmo Road.
Besides the two churches on St. Elmo Road, there are also two on Egypt Central Road: the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Quail Ridge Church of Christ.
There are only a few businesses not related to the golf course in this community. Midsouth Solution, a marketing firm, is on Egypt Central Road.
