Clarksville has an amazing history, founded in 1779. The city is home to several colleges, including Nashville State Community College and the North Tennessee Bible Institute, and the Austin Peay State University, a four-year public university that is considered Tennessee’s fastest-growing university.

Cumberland Riverwalk winds along the majestic Cumberland River. It is a community hotspot, complete with amphitheater, wharf, playground, and picnic areas. Once you’ve selected your Clarksville apartment to rent, you’ll be able to enjoy the Riverwalk’s concerts, visual arts, a lighted boat parade, food, and a Riverfest Regatta.

Clarksville offers the Clarksville Downtown Market, held outside of City Hall on the Public Square. The market offers fresh, locally-grown produce, artisans, onsite chefs, and musicians. Select an apartment in Clarksville today and from May to October, you’ll be able to enjoy the Jammin’ in the Alley concert series, held every third Friday.

Clarksville is home to Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center, a very well-preserved military fort from the Civil War. The outer earthworks are still evident, as are the powder magazine and gun platforms. Other great locations include Liberty Park & Clarksville Marina, a fantastic park with a four-lane boat ramp, marina, a walking trail, sports fields, a dog park, a playground, and a fishing pond.
