With a pinch of history, a dab of industry, and a dollop of natural beauty, Natrona Heights is a scrumptious blend of peaceful, rural community and booming city life. Cradled between the Allegheny River and the hilly terrain of western Pennsylvania, Natrona Heights is 21 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

The Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation is less than a mile from Natrona Heights in neighboring Breckenridge. As a worldwide leader in metal production, this company is a major employer in the area.

The Pennsylvania Salt Company operated along the river from 1850-1957. It is responsible for a great Natrona Heights area, the Pennsalt Historic District. Homes built from 1850 to 1900 are situated along eight blocks.

The Burtner Stone House was built in 1821 and now serves as a museum. The museum hosts an annual Strawberry Festival.

Another great site located just north of Natrona Heights is Harrison Hills County Park. This scenic park has amazing river views, waterfalls, streams, and ponds in addition to soccer fields, picnic areas, a playground, and 180 species of birds.

Nearby, you’ll find museums, vineyards, shopping, golfing, and more. With so much to offer, Natrona Heights is a great little community.
