With a history that dates back to colonial times, Boothwyn is a charming community located within the Upper Chichester Township in Delaware County. Boothwyn is the location of the Chichester Friends Meetinghouse, a historic Quaker meeting house that was built in 1688 and rebuilt in 1769 after a fire destroyed the original structure. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the doors still have bullet holes from British soldiers, who entered the area during the Battle of Brandywine.

Booth’s Corner Farmers Market is a unique farmer’s market with many booths run by Lancaster Amish. Visitors to the market can not only buy locally grown produce, but they can buy shoes, hand-dipped candles, antiques, jewelry, crab cakes, sausages, donuts, candy, gifts and collectibles, clothing, and even get a haircut. The market includes more than 20 food booths and 12 restaurants.

Briggs Auction House is located behind the historic Booth’s Corner School. It is a full-service auction house with weekly estate auctions held every Friday evening. For even more shopping and exploring, your Boothwyn apartment will put you roughly 20 miles south of Philadelphia – a city known for its amazing history, great restaurants, and fantastic shopping.
