Zachary Taylor Apartments for Rent
Zachary Taylor is in Oklahoma City, a city that is known for its parks and historical “Old West” attractions. Memorial Park is a park south of the community and provides the community with everyday recreational activities. Play basketball, tennis, and soccer in the park. Children enjoy the playgrounds, and when it is hot, they appreciate the “sprayground,” which is an interactive water park.
Northwest of Zachary Taylor is Lake Hefner Park, a large park with a variety of recreational activities. It has baseball fields, basketball goals, softball fields, tennis courts, and a golf course. The park also has over nine miles of trails for walking, running, and riding bikes.
Lake Hefner is an excellent lake for sailing and fishing. From April to October sailboat races are held at the Lake. The family can spend the entire day at the lake because picnic facilities are provided. State Fair Park, one of the largest state fair parks in the country, hosts auto racing, rodeos, horse shows, concerts, and conventions.
The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum is in downtown Oklahoma City, and its exhibits tell the story of the Old West and the many famous Old Westerners. The Banjo Museum displays a rich history of the banjo. It has the largest collection on display in the world.
“Play Ball” can be heard at the AT&T Bricktown Ball Park. The home team is the Oklahoma City RedHawks. Residents can also enjoy rooting for the Oklahoma City Barons, (hockey) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA basketball).
Penn Square Mall is between Lake Hefner and Zachary Taylor and is a large, elegant mall. Many of the favorite department stores are in the mall along with wonderful specialty shops. Oklahoma City has many venues of entertainment—something for everyone.
