Top of the Town Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Top of the Town is a neighborhood of Oklahoma City. The sparsely populated neighborhood is close to the attractions and tourist destinations of the city.
The Overholser Mansion is Oklahoma City’s first mansion. Built in 1903, the three-story, 11,000 square-foot Victorian house is located in the historic Heritage Hills neighborhood. Henry and Anna Overholser were leaders in the development of the community. The mansion is over 100 years old, but its structure remains the same. The original furnishings of the home have visitors imagining what life was like at the time, surrounded by extravagant, hand-painted canvas walls, stained glass windows, and lavish fixtures. The Overholster Mansion tour is one of Oklahoma City’s most popular tourist attractions.
The neighborhood is close to outdoor opportunities. The Trosper Golf Course of the Trosper Golf Club is one of Oklahoma City’s favorite golf courses. The heavily wooded course has water obstacles and bunkered greens, but is a golf course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and skill levels. Trosper has a golf shop and a practice facility for a pre-game warm-up or golf lessons. Food and beverages are also available for snacks or a meal.
The neighborhood is close to Lake Stanley Draper, the only water skiing lake in Oklahoma City. The lake is a nearby escape from the hustle and bustle of urban living. Activities in and around the lake include fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. Lake Draper has over 960 acres known as the CrossTimbers Riding Area. The area is open all year round for dirt bike riders and other off road driving enthusiasts.
The OKC PawPark/Lake Hefner Dog Park has a two-acre, fenced area for dogs. A park for smaller dogs is located within the park. A small pond allows dogs to swim and play in the water.
